LeMond Coverage

What Does This Warranty Cover?

The LeMond Bicycle Warranty covers the following:

• LeMond Bicycles warrants that its carbon framesets (frames and rigid forks) and carbon wheelsets will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the LeMond Bicycle, or for a limited time for certain subsequent owners, as stated below.
• LeMond Bicycles warrants that other LeMond component parts on LeMond Bicycles will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year, as stated below.
• LeMond Bicycles warrants that all LeMond accessories will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year, as stated below.

What Does This Warranty Not Cover?

This warranty does not cover the following:

• Damage caused by normal wear and tear;
• Damage caused by improper assembly or maintenance;
• Damage caused by modifications or installation of incompatible components to the bike as sold;
• Damage or failure resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect;
• Damage caused by failure to follow the owner’s manual;
•Damage caused by use in commercial or competitive activities;
•Component parts on LeMond Bicycles that are manufactured by third parties, as stated below.

In the event there is evidence of damage caused by improper use or accidents that renders the bike unusable or unrepairable, LeMond reserves the right to refuse a return and/or refund in its sole discretion.

All apparel and accessory returns will be processed once we have received and inspected that the items are in brand new condition with original packaging and/or tags.

What Is The Period Of Coverage (Warranty Period)?

For the original retail purchaser:

The Warranty Period on the LeMond Bicycle carbon framesets (frames and rigid forks) and carbon wheelsets runs for as long as the original purchaser owns the LeMond Bicycle.

The Warranty Period on all other LeMond components on the LeMond Bicycle runs for one year from the date the LeMond Bicycle is delivered to the original retail purchaser.

The Warranty Period on all repaired or replacement parts, including repaired or replaced framesets (frames and rigid forks) and carbon wheelsets, and other LeMond component parts, is the remaining portion of the original Warranty Period for that part.

The Warranty Period on all LeMond accessories runs for one year from the date the item is delivered to the original retail purchaser.

How Does State Law Relate To This Warranty?

This LeMond Bicycle Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

How Do You Obtain Warranty Service?

What Will LeMond Do To Correct Problems?

If LeMond determines that you have a valid warranty claim based on the terms set forth in this LeMond Bicycle Warranty, LeMond will either repair or replace the frame or component, at LeMond’s sole discretion. The above remedies shall be your sole remedies under the terms of this limited warranty. In no event will LeMond’s liability exceed the purchase price of the LeMond Bicycle.

What Warranties Apply to Third-Party Component Parts?

Your LeMond Bicycle may have component parts manufactured by third parties. This LeMond Bicycle Warranty does not cover those third-party component parts and the warranties for those third-party components are provided by the manufacturers of those components.

What If My Bicycle Is Damaged In An Accident?

Although not covered by this LeMond Bicycle Warranty, accidents can happen and when they do, we want to keep you riding LeMond. In the event your LeMond Bicycle is damaged in an accident or by other means that are excluded from this warranty, we offer the original retail purchaser the opportunity to replace the damaged LeMond frame or frameset at a greatly reduced cost.

This reduced replacement cost is available for the original retail purchaser for a period of four years from the date the LeMond Bicycle is delivered. The pricing for the replacement or repair depends on your location, the product, and how long you have owned the product. A valid proof of purchase is required to obtain the reduced cost.

Accident replacement does not apply to cosmetic damage or normal wear and tear.
